Yesterday I attended my best friend’s wedding shower. The shower was held at the Grape Escape a winery in galmorous Dayton, NJ.
I am seriously the most neurotic driver ever. ”Guy” lent me his car (brave man) and Linds and I began our adventure around 9:15am. By 9:30 my palms were a sweaty mess. Here’s what I dislike about driving:
- merging on the highway
- reading directions from mapquest
- changing lanes on a major highways
- getting on the GW bridge
- going over the GW bridge
- getting off the GW bridge
After several freak-outs…we finally arrived
The party was great. I got to see some old college friends which is always a nice treat. The bride looked fabulous and I was so glad to be there to share this special day with her. It’s not too often in your life where you get to have all your friends and family in one place AND you get to open tons of presents!
I had the honor of creating the traditional “ribbon hat.” I have to admit, I am one damn good ribbon hat maker. Anyone need a ribbon hat, give me a shout.

Those photos don’t do your hat justice! You should seriously consider starting your own business. People could hire you to attend bridal showers (you could be that “cousin” that nobody knows) and create amazing one-of-kind ribbon hats.
Thank you so much for your beautiful work — and for being part of my amazing day.
